Ocean Business round up
Last week, over 5000 visitors from over 60 countries flocked to Southampton to see over 340 exhibitors in the Global Ocean Technology Show. Ocean Business is held at the National Oceanology Centre (NOC) in Southampton bi-annually in April.
DLM exhibited the Acoustic 10t Release hook, which is a new method of wirelessly separating an underwater load from its crane. The release hook consists of a heavy duty strong back and lever system that amplifies the load capability of an applied acoustic’s 529p release beacon, and a standard AAE surface control unit, typically a 3510 PAM portable.
Carly Collins, Marketing co-ordinator for DLM commented, ‘DLM have been exhibiting at Ocean Business for the past two years now. This is a really successful show for us. We offer something unique to the ocean technology industry, not just acoustic release hooks, but also our standard load monitoring equipment. Acoustic release hooks are available for purchase and hire.’
DLM also exhibited some of their standard load monitoring equipment such as the telemetry tensile link and shackle load cell which are available for purchase at competitive rates and also available in our hire stock. Visitors were also interested in DLM’s load pins which can be custom designed and built to clients’ exact requirements and used in cranes, winches, offshore moorings and cable tensioners.
