DLM were approached by luxury Yacht manufacturers Sunseeker to design and manufacture a method for weighing their new 155 Yacht during its manufacturing life cycle.
The biggest Yacht ever built by Sunseeker, the project was an exciting challenge for DLM who used an array of Compressive Load Cells within the boat cradle to measure the Load in different sections of the vessel along with the total combined load. Three displays showed the load at 16 different positions and also the total load of the Yacht.
The system proved to be essential in ensuring the manufacturers met their weight target and in ensuring performance figures were met.
